Come celebrate Tu-B’Shevat this weekend at Temple Beth Israel!

Community Seder at TBI, Friday, Feb. 3rd at 5:30pm, followed by Shabbat services.

Tu-B’Shevat, the 15th day of the Hebrew month Shevat, marks the beginning of a new year for trees. This is the season when the earliest blossoms in Israel emerge from their winter slumber and begin a new fruit bearing cycle. We mark the day of Tu-B’Shevat by eating fruit, particularly from the “seven kinds” that are singled out in the Torah.
